Policy for Ethical Publishing
Uppsala University Publications stands by and encourages editors to align their publishing policies with the best practices for ethical and transparent academic publishing outlined by COPE. The list below highlight the ethical standards for academic publishing required for use of this platform.
- Publications on the platform must be reviewed by external reviewers to ensure that the quality control preceding publication conforms to commonly accepted criteria for unbiased review of scholarly merit.
- External reviewers do not have competing interests and are independent from editorial decision-making processes. Editors and editorial board members cannot be peer reviewers for books published in their series.
- For the sake of transparency, the full names of editors, their contact information and affiliations are provided on the series’ webpage on this platform. Webpages for series using this platform can be found here.
- Furthermore, it is the responsibility of authors and editors to make sure that publications abide by relevant copyright laws and do not infringe on the rights of others.
